This period turns the growth axis back on itself. The transiting North Node opposing the natal North Node activates the same developmental axis from a different angle: what we had already identified as "future work" now meets the old habits and emotional comfort that used to feel like support.
The opposition does not usually act as a dramatic setback. It usually activates the shadow of the South Node: old roles, familiar teachers, recurring patterns, past methods, and unresolved emotional debts. Sometimes these old themes return in order to be closed, sometimes to reclaim unfinished responsibility. The point is to separate what still feeds your movement from what keeps it repetitive.
