The Sun-Mars quincunx works not as open war, but as a constant need to adjust action to will. The person may be energetic and brave, but does not always understand exactly when to use force. Sometimes they rush forward too early, sometimes they endure longer than necessary, sometimes they get involved with the wrong people or ruin their own work with one sharp move. From the outside this looks like a strange unevenness: there is potential, there is desire, but the direction has to be adjusted again and again.
