The Sun-Lilith square creates strong tension between the wish to be oneself and the fear that the real personality will not be accepted. The Sun seeks clarity, dignity, creative will, and open expression. Lilith brings up forbidden impulses: vanity, envy, hunger for power, sexual boldness, the desire to break rules or prove uniqueness to everyone. In a square these forces conflict, so the person may swing between the image of being "good" and powerful inner desires.
The native often reacts painfully to recognition. They need to be visible, but fear showing what truly burns inside. They may suppress their brightness to fit expectations, then suddenly break into provocation, aggression, demonstrativeness, or an act done out of spite. Shame follows, and the person again puts on a more acceptable mask. This is how the square creates swings between control and rebellion.
