The Sun-Lilith opposition shows tension between the conscious image of the self and the part of the personality that wants something forbidden, vivid, powerful, or dangerously attractive. The Sun seeks wholeness, dignity, and clear expression. Lilith stands opposite and shows the shadow: vanity, envy, fear of being ordinary, the wish to receive recognition at any cost, the need to break rules or prove uniqueness through conflict.
A person with this aspect may meet their shadow through other people throughout life. Bright, daring, sexual, self-confident, selfish, or provocative people irritate them, yet also attract them. Sometimes they condemn in others what they do not dare to admit in themselves. In another version, they take the active role and begin to suppress others, demanding recognition, submission, admiration, or the right to be first without regard for another person's will.
