The Moon-Venus quincunx shows repeated adjustment between the need for emotional safety and the desire for love, beauty, acceptance, pleasure. The Moon wants warmth, familiarity, care, the right to be weak. Venus wants to be chosen, valued, desired, beautiful, pleasant for another. In a quincunx these needs do not coincide automatically. The person may try to be liked where they actually want protection, or care for others in the hope of receiving love.
The aspect is often connected with difficulty honestly admitting one's own desires. The person may tell themselves that they "need nothing," then feel hurt if their efforts are not noticed. They may yield, decorate, smooth things over, be sweet, useful, soft, while inside waiting for confirmation: I am valued, I am loved, I will not be abandoned. If there is no confirmation, fatigue, irritation, a sense of injustice, or hidden dependence on another person's evaluation appears.
