The person may want to prove that they are brave, independent, dangerous, able to get what they want, yet inside there is often doubt: do they have the right to attack, defend, want, take, win? This tension does not disappear by itself. It seeks an outlet through outbursts, conflicts, risky acts, or, conversely, tightness and hidden anger.
