The opposition of Jupiter and the North Node almost always means that Jupiter is close to the South Node. This is an aspect of old scale: knowledge, faith, status, money, authority, social role, teaching, worldview, or a sense of being chosen are already familiar to the person, but the future task requires them to move beyond the old picture of the world.
Such a native may rely on old beliefs, family tradition, a former social circle, a familiar level of comfort, or the role of someone who "knows better." Sometimes they truly can do a great deal: inspire, teach, organize, attract support, use connections, and understand the laws of society. But the opposition shows that this resource stands on the side opposite the North Node. It cannot simply be repeated.
